Hennessey Fire Department responded to the following recent calls:

Fire Reports Grass fire — Firefighters

Grass fire — Firefighters with three brush pumpers, one tanker truck responded to a grass fire at N. 2890 Road and E. 650 Road at 11:07 p.m. Dec. 5. They were joined by a patrol officer, and Dover firefighters.

Dispatch reported that the sheriff’s office called about a secondary fire near there and command at the fire scene asked to have Kingfisher Fire Department respond to that fire.

KCSO said that Kingfisher would not respond so Crescent Fire Department was called and responded to the second fire. Dover FD left the first fire and Hennessey R1 brush pumper went with them to the secondary fire. Crescent arrived shortly after Dover/Hennessey. Most of the Hennessey firefighters returned to the station at 1:50 a.m. Dec. 6, except for the R1 pumper truck that arrived at 2:08 a.m.

Grass fire — Shelly Rapp, 1500 Country Club Drive, called in a fire report at 3:37 a.m. Dec. 7. A brush pumper, engine and second brush pumper left the station at 3:46 a.m., 3:50 a.m. and 3:55 a.m., respectively. The pumpers returned to the station at 4:30 and 4:31 a.m. and the engine arrived at 4:51 a.m.

Grass fire — June Streck reported at 1:44 p.m. Dec. 9, that a Sunday night fire from SH 51 to Banner Road and one mile south and one-half mile east of Hennessey, had flared back up again. Three brush pumpers and one tanker responded. All trucks left the scene at 2:45 p.m.

Medical Emergency

Medical Emergency Assist — Five firefighter first responders were called at 4:16 p.m., Dec. 1 to a medical emergency.

A woman was in and out of consciousness after getting shot that afternoon, according to the radio log. Firefighters responding were Randy Bohnstedt, Tyson Copeland, Logan Macy, Dustin Munroe and Corey Trotter. They returned to the station at 4:43 p.m.
