Hennessey Fire Department reports

Hennessey Fire Department has responded to these calls in recent weeks:

Grass fire – Bryan Burch, town employee, reported a grass fire near the dump on Cemetery Road at 10:01 a.m. Feb. 27. Firefighters responded in Rural 1, 2 and 3 brush pumper trucks, and left the scene at 11:23 a.m.

Lift assist – Life Ambulance called for a lift assist on N. Cheyenne at 12:38 p.m. Feb. 27.

Grass fire – At 8:47 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, Kingfisher County reported to the HPD that Life EMS spotted a grass fire on the north side of State Highway 51 at 2940 Road. Two brush pumpers and one tanker truck were sent to the scene. The tanker truck was canceled and the brush pumpers returned at 9:30 p.m. and 9:32 p.m.

Fire at Bull Foot Park – A town employee reported at 2:16 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, there was a fire at Bull Foot Park and two brush pumper trucks were sent, then a police officer at the scene reported the fire started up again by the merry-go-round at 2:45 p.m.

Fire alarm test – A fire alarm went off in the 600 block of E. Oklahoma Avenue at 11:53 a.m. Friday, March 4, then the alarm company employee called HPD at 11:55 and said it was a test.

Fire on N. Cheyenne – The first call of a fire in the 200 block of N. Cheyenne came in at 2:04 p.m. Saturday, March 5, and other calls came in after that. Three pumper trucks were sent to the scene and returned to the station at 2:44 p.m.

Brush fire — Felix Lara reported a fire at 4343 N. 2770 Rd. at 3:13 p.m. March 8. Two engines and two brush pumper trucks responded.

Smoke – Caller reported via 911 (Kingfisher County) at 5:58 p.m. March 8, smoke west on S.H. 51 to N2700 Road then to the north. Blaine and Major counties had no reports of fires. Two brush pumper trucks and one tanker truck were assigned to the call. One of the brush pumpers reported back that it was a controlled burn in the Ames jurisdiction.

Railroad track – A small fire on the railroad track at Main Street and N2865 Road was reported at 12 a.m., March 13. Police confirmed a fire on the wood underneath the iron railings. Two brush pumper trucks went to the location and police also notified the Union Pacific Railroad.

Brush fire – A brush fire at Jay States’ home on 750 Road was reported at 7:38 p.m. March 12. Three brush pumper trucks and one tanker truck responded.

7th & Mitchell Road – A patrol officer radioed at 7:38 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, for fire trucks at 7th Street and Mitchell Road to a controlled burn. Three brush pumper trucks responded. Flare up – Caller report

Flare up – Caller reported 1:09 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, that controlled burn on March 15 flared up on south side and is working its way toward the tree line. One tanker and two brush pumper trucks responded.

West of golf course – Kingfisher County reported to HPD about a fire west of the golf course on S.H. 51 at 1:39 p.m. Sunday, March 20. Three pumper trucks responded.

Across from Taggarts on east side of road – Caller reported at 12:21 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, that bales on fire. Two brush pumper trucks sent. Then at 12:29 p.m. Chris Stewart called and said those are his bales on fire and that is a controlled burn. Pumper trucks went back to station.

Lift assists – 8:21 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, on East 61 Road. Homeowner asks for lift assist. Officer Braden Peck and Firefighter Lt. Brandon Scott responded, then requested Life Ambulance; 2:21 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, on N2850 Road. First responder firefighters making the call were Chris Pribyl, Dustin Grellner and Kyle Keeton.

Medical Emergencies – Life EMS called for an assist to a medical emergency at Taggart’s at 10:26 a.m. March 10. Firefighters responding were Brandon Scott and Levi Copeland;-firefighters responded to a medical emergency at a home east of Hennessey at 11:25 p.m. March 11. Responding were Officer Braden Peck, and firefighters Scott, L. Copeland, Brandon Scott, Dustin Munroe and Chris Pribyl.
