Hennessey Fire Department responded to the following recent calls:
Grass fire —Two brush pumper trucks were sent to a reported grass fire 3 to 5 miles west on SH 51 at 3:23 p.m. Tues., March 19. The report was originally made to the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office.
Lift assists — Firefighters Chris Pribyl and Capt. Brandon Scott responded to a lift assist call at 3:02 p.m. Thurs., March 31 in the 200 block of E. Third St. — HPD Officer Braden Peck, HFD Capt. Scott and Life Ambulance responded to an assist at 3:03 p.m. Tues., March 29 on N. 2850 Rd.
Controlled burn — Todd Vaverka called at 9:50 p.m. April 5 and said a control burn was getting out of control at a location on SH 132/51 two miles west and one-half mile south. One tanker and two brush pumper trucks were sent, and all returned at 10:24 p.m.
Grass fire — Caller reported at 12:09 p.m. April 6 there was a grass fire one-quarter mile north on Cemetery Rd. Two brush pumper trucks were sent.
