Henessey Fire Department responded to the following recent calls
Fires
Ditch fire – Fire at county roads 2940 and 660 reported by Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18.
Power line down – Fire reported on SH 51/Cemetery Rd. at 2:17 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20. Two brush pumpers sent. Onsite firefighter asked dispatch to call OG&E and reported a power line was down in a ditch.
Fire call cancelled – KCSO reported fire at county roads 710 and 2870. Dover Fire Department had it contained.
Railroad tracks fire – Fire reported behind the Sleep Inn Hotel, 600 S. Main St., near the railroad tracks at 9:22 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12. A brush pumper truck was dispatched.
Baler fire – Clinton Stribel reported at 5:37 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 that his hay baler had caught fire and spread to the grass five miles east of S.H. 51/ U.S. 81, 2.5 miles north, west into. One tanker and three brush pumper trucks were dispatched.
Hay bales on fire – Caller at 7:54 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, said he was told there was a “huge fire” three miles north of S.H. 51/Banner Road. Brush pumper truck dispatched and reported hay bales are still on fire, but they have a dirt perimeter.
Medical Emergencies
Football injury – At 5:48 p.m. Monday, Oct. 17, County 911 requested fire assist with injury/possible broken leg, at Hennessey High School football field. Capt. Brandon Scott and Levi Copeland responded.
Man unresponsive in yard – County 911 reported at 11:18 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, that an unresponsive male was found in his yard near 2840 Road with Life EMS enroute. First responders requested.
Responding were Scott, Dustin Grellner, Kyle Keeton and Logan Macy.
