Hennessey FOL’s Chili Cookoff is set Jan. 22 at HHS cafeteria
If you make great chili and want to show off your cooking skills, or just make a big pot of chili for a great cause, then you’re invited to compete in the Hennessey Friends of the Library’s Chili Cookoff.
It will be open to the public from 5:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, at the high school cafeteria.
Entrants will set up at 4:30 p.m. and should text Jan Griffin (405-853-1332) to get signed up for the 23rd annual event.
There will be door prizes, and costs to taste are: adults, $6; children under 12, $3, and an immediate family pass, $15.
“Super Bowl” is the theme for this year’s event, and chili-makers/contestants may want to decorate their tables with their favorite NFL team theme, said organizers.
Awards will be given for People’s Choice, Cook’s Choice, Top Dollar and Best Decorated Table.
