Hennessey’s Main Street will be lit up Saturday evening with lights from businesses, a parade, visits with Santa and Mistletoe Magic sponsored by the local Lions Club.

The civic group had planned to have inflatables and train rides at 5 p.m., but had to cancel them due to expected high winds, said Lion Dagan Hardin, president.

Electric Light Parade Starts 6 p.m.

“Put lights on anything that moves” to be part of the parade.

Categories: Commercial, Truck and Trailer Floats, Four-Wheelers, and Golf Carts.

Lineup at 5:30 p.m. at the swimming pool/splash pad.

Parade Route: From Mitchell Road west onto Third Street past the nursing home, then onto Main Street Santa Visits After Parade After the parade Santa will be ready to talk with children about their Christmas wishes inside The Mercantile located near the stoplight on North Main Street at Oklahoma Avenue.

$5,000 in Gift Certificates at 7 p.m.

Mistletoe Magic starts at 7 p.m. on Oklahoma Ave-nue near The Mercantile and there will be $5,000 in gift certificates donated by Hennessey businesses for the event, said Lion Tim Riddle.

Rules: Receipts of purchases at Hennessey businesses between Nov. 1-Dec. 8 must be redeemed by Dec. 8 at InterBank.

Take them inside the bank (not the drive-thru) to Lion Chastity Fipps.

For every $5 spent you will receive one ticket for the drawing with a minimum of one ticket per receipt and a maximum of 60 tickets per receipt.

Your name must be written on every ticket.

Must be present to win. You have one minute to claim your prize after your name is called.

Gift certificates expire March 31, 2024.
