Hennessey PD files recent reports, citations
Following are reports recently filed by the Hennessey Police Department:
Arrested – Juan Carlos Ramos Castro, 30, Dover, was booked into the Hennessey jail at 6:44 a.m Jan. 1.
He was stopped at 7141 S. US 81 for speeding and handed the officer his passport and said he did not have a driver license.
He was arrested for no driver license issued ($365 fine) and speeding 16-20 mph over the speed limit ($227 fine).
Damages to Home/ Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registration – Police were dispatched to 300 W. Nebraska at 11:31 p.m. Dec. 30 for a possible domestic assault.
Carlos Vargas, 25, was on the porch and his grandmother was in her vehicle with the doors locked, according to the report.
Vargas admitted he’d been drinking and the officer noted he stumbled when he walked, the report said.
It went on to say Vargas yelled at his grandmother and when he was asked how long he’d been living there, the grandmother said he’d just gotten back into town.
Vargas was placed under arrest for the damage to his grandmother’s home and for failure to comply with sex offender registration.
Vargas told the officer he wished he was dead, according to the report, and was taken to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for evaluation. Redrock Behavioral Health Services was notified at about 6 a.m. Dec. 31, and he was admitted, according to the report.
Warrant – Dispatch advised at 10:09 p.m. Dec. 31 that Lahoma PD had picked up Edgar Daniel Sagastume-Martinez, 19, on a Hennessey warrant.
Garfield County transported Sagastume-Martinez to Bison where a Hennessey officer picked him up and booked him into the jail.
Medical Emergencies – At 6:45 a.m. Dec. 28 the PD was called about someone not being able to breathe. First-responders were Officer Robert Cancemi and Firefighters Levi Copeland, Kyle Keeton and Brandon Scott.
Officer Jeremiah Loper was the first responder at 1:45 a.m. Dec. 29 to a call that someone was having a seizure. Dispatchers also referred those calls to the ambulance service.

No Child Passenger Restraint ($90) – Kattie Anais Trejo, Enid.
Improper Equipment ($90) – Kattie Anais Trejo, Enid.
