Hennessey PD reports
Members of the Hennessey Police Department recently filed the following reports:
Missing Person – Family of Esteban Blanco reported him missing at the police station at 5:06 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. They said they’d gone to Texas, but Blanco stayed in Hennessey because he had to go to court in Kingfisher Monday, Dec. 6.
Police searched the home, backyard and shed and “nothing out of the ordinary was found.”
Blanco’s truck had been found at Third and Cimarron streets that afternoon and his son drove it to their home.
Family told the officer that Blanco was in the U.S. illegally and later ICE messaged the HPD that he was in their custody.
Family confirmed Blanco’s date of birth and other information.
Court records show Blanco failed to appear in court that afternoon and an arrest warrant was issued.
He was charged with three misdemeanors: possession of a controlled dangerous substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license.
Stolen Cell Phone – An officer was dispatched to the Dollar General Store at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, about a stolen phone.
Kevin Garner said his wife went to the store and left her cell phone at the self-checkout counter.
He told the officer that Dollar General Store employees found the video of someone picking it up after Kimberly Garner left it there. Mrs. Garner identified the phone in the video from the case that reads: “We’re all mad here.”
The video showed “the suspect, along with a white male and an infant” who were at that checkout counter.
Mrs. Garner supplied police with the box that the Galaxy Note 10-Plus came in and its ID numbers. No other information is listed on the police report.
Aggressive Dog – Officer dispatched at 8:05 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, to 700 block of N. Cimarron Street.
Report shows that a medium sized multi-color dog came up to the patrol car and started barking.
When the officer opened the car door the dog bared its teeth, growled and lunged at the door from six feet away.
The dog walked around the patrol car barking until it heard other dogs barking then went to 620 S. Cimarron St. to a back gate then ran away, the report said.
Mark Christopher Maciel identified himself to the officer as the dog’s owner, and said he would get the dog. Maciel was cited for having an animal at large.
Loud Arguing/Screaming – An officer responded to a call at 9:07 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, that someone was screaming for help and there was loud arguing at Apt. A, 420 N. Cherokee.
Michael Ramsay answered the door and told the officer he asked for the police to be called.
He told the officer that “he had gotten alcohol squirted into his eyes,” according to the report.
His girlfriend, Teale Olson, said that her boyfriend and her son were “rough housing” when her son apparently got scared and sprayed her boyfriend with eyeglass cleaner, the report said.
The officer offered to call an ambulance for medical assistance, but Ramsay refused it. The officer told Ramsay how to use water to wash his eyes.
The officer talked with the boy, who he observed had been crying.
His mother said the boy was afraid he would go to jail for what he did and the officer assured him he wouldn’t, then the boy calmed down, the report said.
After talking with all three, the officer was satisfied that “there was no danger to the boy, or anyone else in the house and what happened was an accident,” according to the report.
