Hennessey PD reports
The following reports have been filed by members of the Hennessey Police Department:
Theft from vehicle – Tanner Choate, 500 S. Cimarron, reported the theft of welding leads valued at $800 from his vehicle at 9:10 p.m. March 24. Officer Jeremiah Loper took the report.
Vandalism – Three Hennessey juveniles were recognized on exterior cameras Monday, March 28, for using black paint to make hand prints and paint spatter on the Kirkpatrick Oil Co. building at 106 S. Main St. and around the corner west at R&H Trucks and Autos, 114 W. Oklahoma Ave. The report was made at 8:36 a.m. and cameras showed the buildings being painted at 4:37 p.m. Saturday, March 26, according to the report by Acting Police Chief Aaron Pitts. He met individually with each juvenile and their parents. Each juvenile admitted they had done the painting, the report said. Each of the parents agreed for their children to repair the damage if it was agreeable with the owners. Both parties agreed to allow the children to remove the paint. Names of the juveniles were not listed in the report.
Trespassing on abandoned daycare property – Officers Christian Solis and Matthew Bruner investigated reports 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, that three juveniles broke into the back door of the abandoned daycare building in the 500 block of S. Cherokee Street. A window in the door was broken at the building, which is owned by the town. Pitts advised officers that Town Administrator Tiffany Tillman said they only want whoever broke the window to fix it. The two officers went to three homes and talked with suspected children and their parents. All suspects told police they had gone into the building, but the glass was broken when they got there. No charges were filed.
Speeding and outstanding warrant – A Chickasha man was stopped by Officer Solis at 6:12 p.m. Monday, March 28, for allegedly driving 57 mph in a 45 mph zone in the 100 block of St. Main Street. Dispatch reported the man had a warrant for his arrest from Grady County and the sheriff’s office advised they wanted him arrested. Solis transported him to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center where he was booked into jail.
Threats/intimidation – Officer Bruner was called into the station at 11:37 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, to take a walk-in report from Morgan Kirkpatrick, Hennessey. She told the officer she was being threatened by a subject on Facebook. Kirkpatrick filed a complaint form against the person for threatening, or attempting, an act of violence. Bruner contacted the suspect by phone and informed of the situation. Bruner’s report shows that at 1:54 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, he was informed by Pitts that Kirkpatrick filled out a termination of investigation form.
Home burglary/breaking and entering – Officer Loper was dispatched to 55 Turkey Creek at 5:33 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, in reference to burglary/breaking and entering. Todd Palmer, fiancé of Savannah Owens, said when he got home from work that he noticed the house was in disarray. However, Palmer said he didn’t notice anything missing. The officer did a walk through and wrote in his report that there were TVs still in the home, along with Palmer’s PlayStation and other valuable items. He also wrote in his report that there were children’s toys, baskets of clothing and other various items were toppled over and scattered throughout the living room floor. The entertainment center appeared to have been rifled through and movies and video games were taken out of the drawers. He also wrote that the kitchen cabinets were opened up. Some food was knocked off the shelves in the washing/pantry area, clothing was scattered throughout the floor. In the master bedroom, it appeared that clothing had been taken off hangers and thrown on the floor and on the floor in the and closet area, bathroom drawers were all pulled out. In the children’s bedroom the beds were toppled over, toys had been thrown around on the floor and clothing taken off of hangers, and drawers had also been gone through.
Peeping tom – Savannah Rae Owens, 55 Turkey Creek, reported a peeping tom to police at 12:31 a.m. Thursday, March 31. Officers Jeremiah Loper and Bruner were dispatched to site. Bruner patrolled the area in search of an individual wearing a black hoodie and black pants as Owens had reported. Owens told Loper that when she got home from work and pulled into the driveway, that she saw someone on the south side of the porch. The individual appeared to be looking into the window, she told police. Loper spoke with Bobbie Johns, the manager of Turkey Creek, and she stated that there could have been some kids in an empty trailer on the property. Loper also spoke with John Owens, Savannah Owens’ father, who was at her trailer doing a walk around of the home.
Both officers patrolled and spot-lighted the surrounding areas and were unable to locate a suspect. Owens told Loper that the house was broken into earlier that day while her fiancé was at home. The Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office was informed about the incidents and asked to make extra patrols around the Miller Heights and Ike’s Acres areas.
Suspicious person – Officer Solis was dispatched to the Turkey Creek Trail Park at 10:37 p.m. Friday, April 1, about a report from Brandi Owens, 55 Turkey Creek. She reported a suspicious person in the area that she’d chased. The officer wrote that Brandi Owens, Todd Palmer and Savanna Owens were standing outside the house when he arrived. Brandi Owens said when she went out to smoke she saw someone two trailer houses to the east of her shining a flashlight. When she called to them they started to run away, and she chased them west, directly south of the homes until that person jumped a privacy fence and she lost them.
