Following are recent reports filed by members of the Hennessey Police Department:

Theft Reported – Clayton Renshaw reported Oct. 13 at 7:50 p.m. the theft of a saddle from a garage at 300 W. Oklahoma Ave.

Suspicious person – A caller reported that a suspicious person was seen attempting to get into their vehicle. Police were unable to make contact with the individual, or the caller.

Welfare check – Broken down semi-truck at Mitchell and Conoco roads at 11:27 p.m. Oct. 12.

Noise at Aquatic Park – Officer responded to call that children were banging on playground equipment. Officer talked with five juveniles at the park who said they hadn’t done anything, and the officer observed no damage to property.

Four-wheeler on streets – Oct. 17 at 7:33 p.m. an officer saw a four-wheeler come out of the trailer addition south of the intersection of Cimarron and 7th streets with a driver and rider. It crossed the roadway and went in to in a field northeast of the intersection and continued driving northeast into the Saddleback Addition. There had been earlier complaints that two children were riding four-wheelers without helmets on the roadway, and into a field. The report shows the officer talked with Jon Owens on Wrangle Street who said he was given permission for his children to ride in the field, and he would talk to them about riding on the roadway.
