Hennessey police, fire department reports
Traffic Collision at 2810 Road and S.H. 51
– Call to department from Oklahoma Highway Patrol via Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office for trooper check at 11:13 a.m. Saturday, July 16. HPD Officer Christian Solis was at scene and OHP requested Solis stay. Hennessey Fire Department brush pumper truck responded, left scene at 12:12 p.m.
Unattended death – Life EMS reported an unattended death at their station at 11:04 a.m. Monday, July 11. The person was not breathing when she reached the station. Multiple attempts were made, but they were unable to resuscitate her, the report shows. The state Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and police were told to release the body to an Enid funeral home.
Jail Transports – * Timothy James Soto, 46, OKC, was transferred from the Garfield County Jail to the Hennessey Jail Wednesday, July 13, at 6:15 p.m. * Sebastian Corral, 21, Hennessey, was transported to the Garfield County Jail, Enid, on an arrest warrant at about 10 a.m. Sunday, July 17.
Fire calls
Firefighters to Hitchcock – HFD Capt. Brandon Scott and Levi Copeland took a brush pumper truck at 5:16 p.m. Sunday, July 17 to Hitchcock to work with the Kingfisher County Task Force there and returned at 2:31 a.m. Monday, July 18.
Grass Fire – Reported via Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, N 2920 and E 640 roads; two brush pumper trucks sent (one at 11:37 p.m. and another at 12:08 a.m. Wednesday, July 13). KCSO also reported power lines down and HPD dispatcher notified OG&E.
Grass Fire Around
House – Reporting party said grass was on fire around her house located from S.H. 51/U.S. 81 west to one mile before the golf course then north for two miles. Brush pumper sent at 9:13 p.m. and reporting party called to cancel before the truck left, and said they got the fire out.
Medical Emergency – 1:28 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Turkey Creek Drive. KCSO requested fire assist, Capt. Scott and Levi Copeland responded at 1:34 p.m. and 1:37 p.m., respectively.
Fire – Call to PD at 2:59 p.m. fire from caller: from 4Ts, go east to blacktop, then three south, two east. Three brush pumpers and one tanker truck sent. One pumper returned at 4:06 p.m. and others at 5:43 p.m., 5:49 p.m. and 5:59 p.m.
Car fire – Call to PD at 6:56 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, that a car was on fire in the parking lot at 4Ts Grocery. One engine and two brush pumper trucks were dispatched and completed the runs at 7:26 p.m.
Lift Assists – * 2:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, Ricky Road, Capt. Scott; 5:23 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, Ricky Road. Scott and Levi Copeland. * Life EMS requested lift assist, and said house is locked and need HFD at 10:53 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, E. Iowa Street, Firefighter Tyson Copeland. * 4:02 p.m. Thursday, July 14, Ricky Road. * 9:57 p.m. Sunday, July 17, E. Third Street.
Ditch fire – Darrin Dedmon reported a fire in the ditch on U.S. 81, 1 1/2 mile south from Hennessey right before the tree farm at 9:41 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3. Taggart’s Garden Center and Kingfisher Sheriff’s Office also reported a notifi cation. A brush pumper was sent, and left the scene at 10:14 a.m.
Tractor on fire – KCSO called about tractor on fire at 2890 and 610 on Friday, Aug. 5, 11:56 a.m. One engine, one tanker and two brush pumper trucks were dispatched, and all but one brush pumper were sent back at 12:38 p.m.
Fire #2 – Mike Dickson reported a grass fire eight miles east on S.H. 51, 1 1/2 miles north on N2859 at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5. Two brush pumper trucks and one tanker responded, then at 8 p.m. one brush pumper went to fire #3.
Fire #3 – KCSO 911 called at 7:12 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, about a fire N2850 and S.H. 51, then two to three miles south. Three brush pumpers and one tanker truck dispatched. HFD requested assistance from Marshall fire, but they were on the Garfield County fire. Hennessey dispatched county to see if Dover could assist.
Information – Garfield County dispatch called at 7:24 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, to let HFD know they were working fires in southeast Garfield County.
Fire #4 – Firefighters overheard radio at 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, that assistance needed from S.H. 51 and N 1970 Road, then one-half mile south to Sheridan Cemetery. Two brush pumpers and one tanker truck sent to scene and another brush pumper returned to station.
