Heritage Festival this Thursday in the HPS Outdoor Classroom
Hennessey’s annual Heritage Festival for students and families will be held at the Early Childhood Center’s Outdoor Classroom from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 2.
“The event is sponsored by the ECC and everything is free,” said Principal Stacey Mack. “We want to give back to our families and tell them ‘thank you’ for sharing their child with us and for them to enjoy the evening with their children.”
Games, Music, Food of USA and Other Countries There will be live music, piñatas, dancing, face painting, arts and crafts, food and other activities to learn about Mexico, El Salvador, Germany, Czech Republic, Australia, Ireland and the United States.
“We enjoy giving our students opportunities to learn and share about different countries and cultures around the world,” the principal said.
There will be buckets for donations, but contributions by families at the festival are not required.
That’s thanks to businesses, school organizations and others who’ve contributed.
Donations made at the festival will be used for other outdoor events or projects.
