Thanksgiving Dinner

God’s Covenant Church, Kingfisher Ministerial Alliance and Kingfisher Elks Lodge are hosting their annual free community Thanksgiving dinner beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, at the Elks Lodge South Room.

Donations are welcome and deliveries are available for senior citizens and disabled residents. s.

Pink Friday

A downtown alternative to Black Friday, the traditional day-after-Thanksgiving shop fest, “Pink Friday” will offer extended shopping hours from 4-8 p.m. Nov. 19 at participating downtown stores (see ads inside). A community tree-lighting ceremony outside the new Kingfisher Visitor Center at 110 E. Broadway Ave. is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Kingfisher Winter Nights

Kingfisher Winter Nights, the walk-through, drivethrough lighted Christmas displays at Kingfisher Park, opens at 6 p.m. nightly starting Nov. 27. The event closes at 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 9 p.m. Sundays-Thursdays. Hot chocolate and other concessions, train rides, scavenger hunts, Santa sightings and more are on tap this year.
