Still time to see KWN displays

Kingfisher Winter Nights continues to be open every night at Kingfisher Park through Christmas night.

Hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and it’s open until 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Entrance to view the lights is always free, though donations are accepted.

There is a charge for certain special events.

This weekend’s event is laser tag on Saturday night, Dec. 17. It will be held near the train station.

Santa Claus will also be at the park on Saturday.

Train rides are available every night except Christmas (weather permitting; see the Kingfisher Winter Nights Facebook page for updates).

Biblical scenes come to life

Lomega’s drive-through Living Christmas Pageant, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 19, has become a seasonal favorite.

Hosted at The Cedar Gate, 2.25 miles north of S.H. 33 on the Loyal-Calumet blacktop, the event includes live actors and animals playing out the biblical nativity scenes.

Crafts, live music, Christmas cookies and family photos also are part of the fun.
