HPD investigations
The following reports were made to Hennessey Police Department:
Child hit by someone on school bus – A parent reported to the police department at 3:16 p.m. April 11 that her child was hit on the school bus by an older child. An officer met with the parent then talked with a school principal who said he’d take care of the issue.
Arrows found outside home – Janice Waldrop notified police at 8:32 a.m. April 7 that someone had shot arrows at her house and she believed they came from across the street at the Turkey Creek Trailer Park. Waldrop said it was the fourth arrow she’d found. She told the officer she’d filed a report Jan. 29 and had thought it was an accident, and suggested he check at trailer four. That’s where the officer talked with Megan Tillman who said she was aware of the situation. She told the officer that her brother, Patrick Tillman, and his roommate, Cyler Elrod, used to shoot arrows at a target at the number five trailer. She said her brother had moved out a few months before. The officer talked with Elrod and told him if he was going to shoot arrows that he needed a proper backstop. The officer later talked with Patrick Tillman who said his friends Dalton Johns, Derik Fuksa and Elrod occasionally shot their bows at the target at his previous residence. He said some were lost because they went through the cracks on the wooden privacy fence around the property. P. Tillman told the officer he’d never lost any of his arrows, and he couldn’t remember exactly who’d lost arrows in the past.
