Following are reports recently filed by the Hennessey Police Department staff:

Stolen vehicle – Debbie Jane Zelnicek reported the theft of a 2013 white Dodge Avenger on Oct. 21. The vehicle was taken for repairs in June 2020, but is now missing from the repair shop, according to the report.

Dog locked in car – Officer was dispatched to 300 S. Cheyenne Oct. 29 to unlock a vehicle for Kiersten Rogers because her dog was locked inside the vehicle.

Alarm check – Officer dispatched to Heritage Pharmacy Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 for alarm checks. Business secured each time.

Found cell phone – An officer on patrol was given a cell phone found in the 400 block of North Cheyenne on Oct. 30. The phone rang and the caller said their little brother had lost it. It was claimed at the PD by Jaden Matthews.

Fender bender – An officer was called to an accident without injury Oct. 30 in the 600 block of E. Third Street. Both parties were present and agreed to exchange information, but thanked the officer for coming, according to the filed report.
