Recent Hennessey Police Department reports: Cruelty to Animals – There were reports April 12, and earlier in the month, that seven or eight juvenile males were throwing rocks at the geese in Bull Foot Park. They were also picking up the geese eggs and throwing them onto the rocks, according to a police report. A black truck and a white vehicle were spotted in that neighborhood, the report shows.

Unlocked Door – A door was locked correctly but the door wasn’t shut properly at the Hennessey Event Center Saturday, April 15. The open door was found on a routine police search of the school property at about midnight, according to the police report. The officer notified police supervisors to advise the school. During another routine police check at the Event Center, a back door was found open at 3:28 a.m. Sat., April 29. According to the report, when the officer exited the building he was met by a school custodian who was able to find a key and locked the door.
