IRS Employees To More Than Double With Hiring Of 87,000 New Agents
– By Barry Reid, Publisher
So West Virginia senator Joe Manchin finally sold out his conservative state to the pressures put on him by the far left radical coastal elites who run the Democrat party.
Here’s an eye-popping statistic: For the fiscal year 2021, the Internal Revenue Service had approximately 74,454 full time employees. The recently passed Inflation Reduction Act authorizes the employment of 87,000 new IRS agents. Wow!
Let’s put this into perspective: Next year there will be over 160,000 IRS employees. Currently we have approximately 177,000 United States Marines. That’s only about 17,000 more Marines than IRS agents.
I certainly hope West Virginia voters remember what Joe did to our nation when and if he comes back up for re-election in 2024.
Most rational American adults realize that the price tag of the Inflation Reduction Act... what a ridiculous name by the way...will be far higher than it’s been advertised.
Almost all economists agree that it will do nothing to curb inflation.
What it most assuredly will do is wind up costing us an astronomically higher price than the $740 billion tag that it has been labeled with.
Common sense and history tells us that all federal government spending legislation eventually costs the U.S. taxpayer much, much more than the initial advertised price tag.
Yes. You Heard Correctly: 87,000 New Armed Agents.
That’s right...the IRS is more than doubling in size through the hiring of 87,000 new IRS agents with the passage of this legislation...and these agents will be armed!
This sounds very similar to the Robin Hood story of old.
We all know it: Prince John’s minion, the Sheriff of Nottingham, and his tax collecting henchmen riding roughshod over and putting the financial squeeze on the law abiding citizens in and around Sherwood Forest.
Now imagine that same scenario in modern times. I would guess that most tax-paying U.S. citizens think 74,454 IRS employees is too many. And who believes these new armed agents are “only going to go after the wealthy” as the Democrat leadership and their propaganda-spewing buddies in the decidedly left-leaning multi-billion dollar corporate-owned national electronic news media tell us.
My first question is this: “Please tell me your definition of wealthy?”
I have no doubt that they will be coming after us all. The middle class will suffer the most from the audits of these newly unleashed 87,000 armed IRS agents.
Joe Manchin, the supposedly lone conservative Democrat in our senate, cast the vote that allowed this mess to pass.
When you look at the map of West Virginia regarding how the counties of the state voted in the 2020 presidential election, you will see that the state is completely red (Republican). Every county.
Pretty sure Joe didn’t vote on behalf of his constituency on this one.
My guess would be that he won’t be running again in 2024. Perhaps some offers were put on the table behind closed doors that he just couldn’t refuse? Who knows what his reasoning was. All I know is that he caved in from the pressure and melted like a cheap candle. Shame.
I have no idea how he can answer to the folks back home for the passage of this legislation if he does plan to run for re-election.
Manchin’s Approval Rating Drops 29 Percent
In a poll published by the Washington Times following Manchin’s IRS vote, fully 51 percent of registered voters now have an unfavorable opinion of him, compared to just 21 percent who have a favorable view.
In the same poll before the IRA vote, Manchin had a 35 percent favorable, and 34 percent unfavorable rating.
When you do the math, this means that Manchin’s favorability dropped a net 29 points. I have yet to see a West Virginia poll, but I bet he’s not a popular guy at all in his home state.
There’s no way this massive drop in his approval rating can be attributed to anything other than his public support of the IRA passage.
I see now that he’s trying to spin it that he “traded in good faith” his vote for a promise to lessen future restrictions placed on the energy industry. Right. Pitiful. Democrats are already saying they never promised it and won’t do it.
Mitch McConnell Pours Cold Water On Republican Chances in 2022 Senate Races Now we have RINO DC swamp-defending senate minority leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky telling us that his Republican party only has a 50-50 chance of winning back the majority of the senate, due to the quality of the candidates running. Really Mitch!?
I thought leaders of a political party are supposed to be cheerleaders for their national candidates.
I’ve never much cared for McConnell anyway, as I always thought he leaned toward protecting the establishment DC elitists who make up the over-protected and over-empowered insulated and unelected minions of the DC swamp.
Count me in as one of the silent majority within this nation that would very much love to see the swamp drained permanently.
Slanted Polls
The only election polling organization I trust is the Trafalgar Group, which gained prestige and prominence by being the ONLY poll to predict that Donald Trump would defeat Hillary Clinton in 2016.
Current case in point: Populist Republican candidate Herschel Walker is down by as much as 12 points in a myriad of polls regarding his run for the Georgia senate seat currently held by far left Democrat Raphael Warnock.
The Trafalgar poll has Walker ahead at 47.7 percent to Warnock’s 45.5 percent.
Even with the vote tampering that will undoubtedly take place in the “woke” socialist run city-state of Atlanta, I like Walker’s chances.
It will be very interesting to see how these pivotal senate races unfold this November.
