It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

By

Ho, ho, ho! Who wouldn’t go?

Kingfisher’s annual lighted Christmas parade and downtown fireworks, one of northwest Oklahoma’s most popular holiday events, happens Saturday night at 6 p.m.

Led by parade marshal and retired Santa Claus Judd Kopp, the parade progresses from Interbank to BancFirst and will include lighted floats of all descriptions, plus the Pride of Kingfisher and community band providing Christmas music.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the best floats, sponsored by Johnsons of Kingfisher.

Immediately following the parade, barricades will be moved and crowds will pour into the street for the fireworks display, choreographed to holiday music, sponsored by LuGreg Trucking and Wheeler Bros. Grain Elevator.

Restaurants will be open late and food trucks will be located at Block 35.

Afterwards, plan a trip through Kingfisher Winter Nights.
