[Editor’s note: Incumbent State Sen. Darcy Jech has authorized the Times & Free Press to publish the following paid announcement of his bid for re-election to State Senate District 26, subject to the June 28 Republican Primary.]
State Senator Darcy Jech filed for re-election and cited Oklahoma’s success enacting an America First agenda.
A small business owner and insurance agent from Kingfisher, Jech raised his family before entering public services. “I’m a private sector businessman, not a career politician, and that’s the way it should be.
“We’re the most conservative state in America and we’re unabashed in the Legislature in representing your America First values.
“We cut taxes for Oklahoma families to alleviate the burden from inflation.
“With the impending overturn of Roe v. Wade, we passed bans on abortion which make Oklahoma the most pro-life state in America.
“We protected the Second Amendment and made Oklahoma a sanctuary for law-abiding gun owners. We also passed Constitutional carry for the good people of Oklahoma.
“We stopped voter fraud in Oklahoma and support election integrity. As the chair of the Senate Rules Committee, I personally ensured Oklahoma elections were devoid of fraud.
“We have achieved great things working together for the betterment of all our families, seniors, veterans and small businesses. We’re putting the people first.
“The fight for traditional Oklahoma values is being won.
“It’s been an honor to serve the great people of western Oklahoma. I am running for re-election to continue fighting for the voice of western Oklahoma.”
Jech chairs the Natural Resources and Regulatory Services Committee, as well as the all-important Rules Committee. He serves on the Energy, Judiciary, Public Safety and Appropriations committees.
He is also the Rural Caucus chairman, which allows him to be a member of the leadership team within the Senate.
Jech and his wife Vicky, a retired Kingfisher Public School teacher, have been married nearly 44 years. They have two adult children, daughter Sarah Aholt and husband Michael, and Ryan Jech and wife Britni, and six grandchildren.
