Jeff Wittrock seeks city commission post

( Ed. note: Jeff Wittrock is running for a seat on the Kingfisher City Commission in the Tuesday, April 2, election. He has authorized the Times & Free Press to run the following announcement.)

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and my family to you.

In the photo, you can see my wife, Heather, and my three grown children Hayden, Hannah and Hunter.

I am Jeff Wittrock and I am running for City Commissioner on April 2.

I have spent my entire adult life in our wonderful little town of Kingfisher; this is where we raised our family.

Heather has spent the last 10 years shaping the minds of other families’ children at Kingfisher Public Schools and I have spent my tenure at Pioneer.

My family strives to be involved in the community.

We were involved in AMBUCS and played a part in the Playground of Dreams. We are honored to see Glenda Wolf’s and the group’s vision come to life.

My son Hunter (who has disabilities) tries to bring awareness for individuals like himself. He just recently started an annual fundraiser 5K here in Kingfisher called Blazin’ Past Burns and raised over $23,000 his first year.

Hannah has taken a role in shaping students’ minds at Kingfisher High School and is finishing up her first year of teaching.

Hayden is busy working for KFOR as an account executive.

I have seen my children grow into adults and begin their own lives and pathways of involvement in our community and I feel as if it is my civic duty to step up and do the same.

I would love to be the voice of the people and serve our community on Kingfisher City Commission and would be honored to have your vote on April 2.

Thank you.
