July sales tax checks were higher for Okarche, Hennessey and Kingfisher County, the Oklahoma Tax Commission reports.

The July 9 distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts

Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically.

The monies they reported this period represent sales from May 16 to May 31 and estimated sales from June 1 to June 15.

The disbursement of $203,937,980 in sales tax collections returned to the cities and towns reflected an increase of $1,214,846 from the $202,723,134 distributed to them in July last year.

The use tax disbursement to cities and towns was $34,131,944. In county returns, the counties shared in a $35,647,846 sales tax disbursement and $7,228,830 in a use tax disbursement.

Use tax disbursements to all towns but Loyal, which does not levy a use tax, showed increases for Cashion and Kingfisher in Kingfisher County.
