Just Keep on Dreaming . . . Sorry kids, no White Christmas this year either

A popular Twitter post by an Oklahoma City meteoroligist circulating last week illustrated his prediction for the warmest Christmas on record with a state temperature map entitled “White Christmas Definitely No.” Record temperatures may be a news story, but no white Christmas is not much of a surprise. Kingfisher High School sophomore Eli Johnson, 16, right, was 4 years old the one and only time he woke up to Christmas morning snow (left, a photo taken by his dad Jeff and published in the Times & Free Press in 2009). In fact, the average Christmas Day high temperature for Kingfisher for the past 10 years is 52.1. Even if the predicted 73 degree high for Saturday materializes in Kingfisher, it’s still a degree cooler than Christmas Day 2016. [Provided Photos]
