KCC seeks meals for Compassion Clinic’s volunteers
The Kingfisher Community Collaborative is seeking meal donations to help feed the people who donate their time to serve the community.
On the second Monday of every month, about three dozen volunteers gather to serve at the Compassion Clinic.
The clinic serves the uninsured and underinsured population throughout the evening.
On average, there are about 40-45 persons seen in the one night each month.
The KCC helps organize meals to be served to those volunteers each month at the Kingfisher Baptist Church’s Connextion Building.
“We recently had generous people donate for the months of February and June,” said Blair Coughlan, co-chairperson of the KCC.
“But we are still seeking donations for August through December.”
Meals can be delivered to the Connextion Building between 4:30 and 5 p.m. on the evenings of the clinic.
Anyone interested in donating an evening meal to the volunteers can contact Coughlan to get signed up at 405-613-6339 or through the Kingfisher Community Collaborative Facebook page.
