Keynun, Keylun Combs serve as Capitol pages
Keynun and Keylun Combs, juniors at Kingfi sher High School paged for Rep. Denise Crosswhite Hader, R-Piedmont, Feb. 26-29.
Both are involved in FFA. The two are the sons of former Rep. Tom and Erin Newell as well as Chris and Jamie Combs.
House pages run messages to legislators while they are in the chamber debating policy and voting on measures and they help in their Capitol offices.
Pages also participate in a mock session, in which they learn legislative procedure and how to write and debate legislation.
“These are both great young men,” Crosswhite Hader said. “They were very interested in the legislative process and attentive to detail. I introduced them to other representatives at our Rural Caucus lunch and they got a good view of how their state government functions.
“I’m hopeful they’ll take the lessons learned during their week at the Capitol and apply them throughout their lives.”
