KHS announces April Students of the Month
Kingfisher High School has announced its Students of the Month for April 2025.
Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.
Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Finley Harrison, sophomore Naomi Garcia, junior Isabella Gomez and senior Jose Santoyo.
Harrison is the son of Jared and Jessica Harrison. He is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of the KHS quiz bowl team. Harrison is also an active member of the aviation class as well as the robotics group where he just earned TSA state champion honors. He is also a member of the KHS Photography staff and the Methodist Church youth group.
Garcia is the daughter of Jose Garcia and Sandra Esparza. She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society and has earned the 4.0 Award. Garcia is an active member of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter, where she is a part of the floriculture team. She is a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Church where she also serves as a Sunday School teacher.
Gomez is the daughter of Jose and Marcie Gomez. She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society. Gomez has earned both the 4.0 Award and the Academic Award. She is currently serving as the junior class vice president and is an active member of Student Council and the Center of Family Love Teen Board.
Santoyo is the son of Matthew Morse and Taina Gonzalez. He was a member of the KHS football team. Among his honors was being named the District 3A-1 Defensive Lineman of the Year. He was also selected to play in the 101 Classic Bowl football allstar game this summer. He also wrestled for KHS where he was a state qualifier this year. Santoyo attends the Federated Church.
