The Kingfi sher High School class of 1959 held a get-together Wednesday, May 17, at Eischen’s Bar in Okarche. Those attending were, from left: front row, Sharon Evans Bakie, Margene Darrough Naberhaus, Donna Horn Smith, Barbara Schoelen Smola and Wanda Homier States; and back row, Danny Mastalka, Charlie Mathis, Howard Johnson, Don Max Tharp, Jane Leisher Kochenower and Averial Rivers Williams. Also attending were guests Dene States and Alma Post. The class is planning to hold their 65th reunion next year.

CLASSIC BOWL BAND – Members of the Kingfi sher High School band took part recently in the Classic Bowl festivities in Woodward. Joined by KHS band director Mandy Owens, the group rehearsed with other band members in Alva on Thursday and Friday, June 1-2, and stayed at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Then the combined band performed at the Saturday, June 3, afternoon parade in Woodward and performed their halftime show at the Classic Bowl football game. Taking part were, from left: front row, Gracie Fuksa, Angela Munoz, KC Ortega, Ana Cuellar and Owens; and back row, Sara Farris, Livia Varnell, Colton Livingston and Alezandro Cuellar.
