Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for January 2022.

Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Kamryn Purintun, sophomore Ashley Casillas, junior Ivy Hartman and senior Mason Snider.

Purintun is the daughter of Stuart and Stacey Purintun.

She is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.

She is on the KHS cheer squad that was named 2021 academic state champion.

Purintun is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council and the First Baptist Church youth group.

Casillas is the daughter of Alfonso and Maria Casillas.

She is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Honor Society.

She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and has received the 4.0 Award.

Casillas is an active member of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter where she was a member of the 2021 state winning and national qualifying Conduct of Chapter Meetings team.

She is also a member of the KHS cheer squad that was named 2021 academic state champs.

Casillas is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Council, Students Stepping Up and Sts. Peter and Paul youth group.

Hartman is the daughter of Chad and Leah Hartman.

She is a member of both the National Honor Society and the Oklahoma Society.

She is listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll and has received the 4.0 Award.

She is an active member of the Kingfisher FFA where she currently serves as chapter secretary.

Hartman was a member of the state champion 2019 Conduct of Chapter Meetings team that also placed third at nationals.

She earned a perfect test score on the Conduct of Chapter Meetings test in 2019.

She was a member of the 2021 state champion and national semifinalist Parliamentary Procedure team.

Hartman is a member of the KHS cheer squad that was named 2021 academic state champs.

She is also active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the First Baptist Church youth group.

Snider is the son of Brent and Steph Snider.

He is listed on the Principal’s Honor Roll.

He plays basketball for KHS and was a member of the 2019 and 2021 Class 4A state champion teams and the 2021 Class 4A academic state champion team.

He also plays baseball for KHS and is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as the Holy Trinity Catholic Church youth group.
