Kingfisher High School has named its Students of the Month for October 2021.

Students are chosen based on many characteristics including responsibility, leadership, work ethic, reliability, kindness and more.

Selected by the faculty and staff were freshman Hailey Bieren, sophomore Chloe Blair, junior Alli Themer and senior Matthew Miller.

Bieren is the daughter of Mitchel and Stephanie Bieren.

She is an active member of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter where she is a member of the meat judging team and the state qualifying opening and closing ceremonies team.

She is also part of the livestock show team and was recently named Reserve Intermediate Division Swine Showman at the Tulsa State Fair.

Bieren was selected as the October FFA Member of the Month.

She is listed on the principal’s honor roll. She is also active in Student Council and is currently serving as a freshman Student Council representative.

She is also a member of the Kingfisher First Baptist Church youth group.

Blair is the daughter of David and Shelley Blair.

She is an active member of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter and was on the 2021 state champion and national semifinalist conduct of chapter meetings team.

Blair is also a member of both the Oklahoma Honor Society and the National Honor Society and is listed on the superintendent’s honor roll.

She is involved in Student Council, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is a member of the KHS girls basketball team. Blair is also an active member of LifeWay Church.

Themer is the daughter of Dennis and Tammy Themer.

She is an active member of the Kingfisher FFA Chapter, where she is involved in public speaking, parliamentary procedure and marketing.

She was on the 2021 state champion and national semifinalist parliamentary procedure team.

She has also been named state runner-up in marketing and earned third place at state in prepared public speaking.

Themer is listed on the superintendent’s honor roll and has received the 4.0 Award.

She is also a member of both the Oklahoma Honor Society and the National Honor Society.

Themer is very active in Student Council and, this year, started a student volunteer organization called “Students Stepping Up.”

Themer is currently participating in the Distinguished Young Woman program and is a member of the Countrywood Baptist Church.

Miller is the son of Brian and Sharon Miller.

He is a three-year member of the KHS Photography staff and is serving as chief photographer for the 2021-2022 school year.

He has also been on the KHS academic team for three years and he received an Academic Award last year.

Miller attends Chisholm Trail Technology Center and was recently selected as the Student of the Quarter for CR/N.

He has also received the Rotary Award and a Tech Ed II Award.

Miller is active in Boy Scouts of America, Robotics/TSA and Kingfisher First Baptist Church youth group.
