One Kingfisher FFA team has secured its spot to compete at next month’s national convention.

Another is currently making its own bid to do the same.

The National FFA Organization informed chapters Wednesday which parliamentary procedure teams had advanced past the preliminary rounds to earn spots in the semifinals.

Kingfisher was one of those teams.

Team members Mayce Gibson, Leyla Avila, Alli Themer, Katon Lunsford, Dustyn McLean and Ivy Hartman will compete in-person during the 94th annual National FFA Convention to be held Oct. 27-30 in Indianapolis, Ind.

The preliminary rounds were held virtually over the past several weeks.

Other states sending schools to the semifinals include Arizona, California, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Ohio and Wyoming.

Now Kingfisher FFA’s conduct of chapter meetings team begins its quest to compete in Indianapolis.

The team is currently beginning its virtual preliminary rounds.

Semifinalists for that competition will be announced Sept. 16.

Team members are Natalie Garrett, Mia Hartman, Kylie Hood, Chloe Blair, Laney Rose, Hannah Francis and Ashley Casillas.
