Kingfisher High School seniors Katon Lunsford and Mason Snider are the Junior Lions for December 2021.

Lunsford is the daughter of Kenny and Meggan Lunsford.

She’s active in FFA, cross country, track and Student Council, among others.

Lunsford is a member of the National Honor Society and currently serves as president and has been listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll.

She was the winner of the Kingfisher County Distinguished Young Woman program, was a member of the 2018 Class 4A state championship cross country team and was a member of the parliamentary procedure team that placed third at the national competition.

Lunsford plans to attend either the University of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State University and pursue a career as a physical therapist.

Snider is the son of Brent and Steph Snider.

He is active in basketball, baseball and FCA, among other activities.

Snider was a member of the 2021 Class 4A basketball state champion and academic state champion basketball team.

He was also a member of the 2021 baseball team that reached the state tournament, the 2020 basketball team that qualified for state and the 2019 state semifinal baseball team.

Snider has been listed on the principal’s honor roll.

He plans to attend OSU and major in business.
