Kingfi sher Police Department reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
January 19 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer and malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Derek Grassman responded to a report of suspicious individuals at Atwoods, 1213 S. Main St.
According to the report, the manager stated a male and female had been in the store for approximately two hours and appeared to be acting suspiciously.
When officers arrived the male suspect exited the store, while the female suspect entered the checkout to purchase items in her shopping cart, according to the report.
The female was unable to complete the transaction due to lack of funds and then proceeded to the restroom, the report said.
While the suspect was in the restroom, the manager stating she heard the toilet flushing multiple times, according to the report.
After the suspect exited the bathroom, the manager observed “a stash of merchandise on one of the isles and the toilet in a non-working condition,” the report said.
On Jan. 27, officers reviewed surveillance video of the incident and observed the male suspect appear to take several pairs of jeans without paying for them and the female appeared to conceal items in her shirt, according to the report.
The individuals were identified, the report said.
The reported value of items either stolen or destroyed was $117.43.

February 1 - Burglary- second degree.
Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of a stolen trailer at Hayden’s Lock-Up, 209 W. Starlite Drive.
Timothy Wallace reportedly stated his 24-foot enclosed trailer had been stolen from the storage facility.
Conner reviewed surveillance footage of the incident which occurred on Jan. 29 and was able to retrieve identifying information of the suspect’s vehicle, including the vehicle description, tag number and state of registration, according to the report.
The trailer identification was entered into the National Crime Information Center, the report said.
February 1 - Protective order violation and unauthorized use of credit/ debit card (three counts).
Officer Derek Grassman took a report of a protective order violation and three unauthorized credit card charges (which were denied) in the 200 block of West Chisholm Drive.
February 3 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officer Derek Grassman said in his report that he observed a known 24-year-old male driving with a revoked license and initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle in the area of South 13th Street and Clearview Drive.
According to the report, Grassman made contact with the suspect and detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.
The suspect indicated that he possessed a medical marijuana card, but that it was expired, and upon questioning, surrendered a white canister containing marijuana from the vehicle (which later tested positive for marijuana), according to the report.
Grassman placed the suspect under arrest for driving with a revoked license and issued district citations for possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle while license is revoked.
Grassman performed a search of the vehicle and located “two canisters of marijuana wax with residue still inside of them,” the report said.
