Kingfisher’s Themer, Birdwell named November Junior Lions

Kingfisher High School seniors Allison Themer and Judson Birdwell are the November 2022 Junior Lions.

The two were guests at recent meetings of the Kingfi sher Lions Club.

Themer is the daughter of Tammy and Dennis Themer.

She was the winner of last year’s Kingfisher County Distinguished Young Women program and the second runner-up at the state competition.

She’s active in FFA, is the Student Council president, National Honor Society vice president and founder of Students Stepping Up.

Themer was a part of the national semifinalist parliamentary procedure team, won the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Award and was an Oklahoma Girls State delegate, at which she served as lieutenant governor.

Themer plans to attend Oklahoma State University and major in strategic communications and minor in health and exercise science.

Birdwell is the son of Joel and Bridget Birdwell.

He is active in basketball, FFA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has also been inducted into the National Honor Society.

Birdwell has been a part of two state championship basketball teams at KHS and was a part of the state runner-up beef production- entrepreneurship.

He also plans to attend OSU and will study animal science.
