Kingfisher city race develops
Two candidates filed for a seat on the Kingfisher City Commission on the final day of the filing period last week.
Incumbent Bill Tucker, a longtime city employee and then elected official, reconsidered his decision not to seek re-election.
Ryan Deatherage also filed for the office, according to the county election board.
The winner of the municipal election, to be held April 5, will join Mayor Roxie Alexander, Vice Mayor Wendell Prim and commissioners Kyle Mecklenburg and Geoff Covalt on the city’s governing board.
