Kingfisher County 4-H, FFA members compete in Oklahoma Wheat Show

The 2025 Oklahoma Wheat Show awards banquet took place Dec. 3 at the Embassy Suites in Oklahoma City.

Kingfisher County 4-H and FFA members enjoyed a successful evening.

A total of 25 FFA members received recognition.

Notably, Emily Schellenberg of Lomega FFA secured second place overall with her Doublestop CL Plus.

Saidee Wright, Lomega FFA, placed sixth overall with her Doublestop CL Plus.

Additionally, 15 4-H members were recognized.

Kol Glazier of Lomega 4-H earned third place overall, Mia Forman of Lomega 4-H secured fourth place overall and Delissa Evans of Kingfisher 4-H achieved sixth place overall with their respective Doublestop CL Plus.

The contest is sponsored by the Oklahoma Wheat Commission, Oklahoma Wheat Research Foundation, Oklahoma Genetics Incorporated, Westbred, Oklahoma State University and the Oklahoma Department of Career Technology and Education.

The Oklahoma Wheat Commission works to promote greater utilization of wheat in both domestic and international markets through research, market development, and public education.

Five wheat producers representing designated districts across the state serve as the Oklahoma Wheat Commission’s board of directors.

Current officers are Raymond Parrish, chairman, Hunter; Jerry Wiebe, vice chairman, Hooker; Michael Peters, secretary-treasurer, Okarche; David Gammill, member, Chattanooga; and Tom Cannon, member, Blackwell.
