Kingfisher County OHCE members met for their annual Fall Council meeting on Oct. 24 at Hennessey Mercantile.

Hennessey Farmerettes OHCE served as the host group.

Jamie Akenhead, Kingfi sher County OHCE vice president, presided over the business meeting and conducted the flag salute and OHCE Creed.

The minutes were led by Ashley Cowan Neal, county secretary. Amy Tollison, county treasurer submitted the treasurer’s report.

During the potluck dinner, members heard from Stacy Cline, guest speaker and Hennessey Mercantile owner. She informed the group about how her business started, the mission of the business and what she foresees as the future for the business.

Lindy Peterman, FCS Extension educator, reported on the county fair’s club results, current and upcoming programs, changes for OHCE and OHCE Week activities.

New officers for the county board were installed for two offices. Dot Miller was installed as the new president and Desiree Austin was installed as the new treasurer.

Peterman installed the new and existing officers with a Halloween-themed installation.

Akenhead closed the meeting and thanked everyone for coming as well as wishing members a safe fall and winter.
