Kingfisher PD investigates multiple reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following report:
November 23 - Petit larceny.
Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of theft at The Shed Grill and Bar, 1505 S. Main St. The manager reportedly
The manager reportedly informed police dispatch that a male customer left the restaurant without paying for his food and drinks.
Trout said in his report that he attempted to locate the suspect’s vehicle, but was unsuccessful and then made contact with the manager at the restaurant.
According to the report, the manager and bartender gave a description of the suspect as well as information the suspect provided about himself while at the bar, including a statement about having several felonies.
Trout viewed video surveillance of the incident and requested a copy of the footage, the report said. According to the report,
According to the report, Trout contacted Canadian County Sheriff’s Department and requested possible information regarding the suspect and they provided a photograph and identity of a possible suspect.
Trout showed the photograph of the suspect to the restaurant manager and bartender, which they both positively identified as the suspect.
The total value of the food and drinks was $101.
December 4 - Complaint/possession of controlled dangerous substance.
Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of a possible controlled dangerous substance found at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
A Walmart employee reportedly stated a female suspect was observed at a register removing payment from her pocket and a small bag containing a crystalline substance inadvertently came out as well.
Trout said in his report that he took possession of the evidence and requested video surveillance of the incident.
December 5 - No driver’s license and unsafe lane use.
Officer Jeffrey Robbins said in his report he observed a southbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on U.S. 81 and failing to stay within the proper lane and he initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. According to the report,
According to the report, the 19-year-old male driver did not have a valid driver’s license and a strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from the vehicle.
Robbins observed empty plastic baggies in the vehicle which produced a strong odor of marijuana, the report said. A field sobriety test was
A field sobriety test was performed on the driver, according to the report.
The suspect was issued citations for driving without a license and failure to maintain the proper lane, as well as a warning for speeding, the report said.
Robbins said in his report that he advised the driver that he could not drive the vehicle from the location without a license and would have to locate another means of transportation.
December 8 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of property damage at Payless Inn, 2300 Frontage Road.
According to the report, the owner stated a known 43-year-old male had damaged a door at the property and previously caused other damage to the property.
Officers made contact with the suspect and advised him that the owner indicated that he was no longer allowed on the property and if he returned he could be arrested for trespassing.
Officer Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.
December 10 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.
Officer Dustin Brodrick observed a vehicle speeding in the school zone on South 13th Street and initiated a traffic stop. According to the report, the 33-year-old female driver was driving with a suspended license.
Brodrick said in his report that he issued a citation for driving under suspension and a warning for speeding in a school zone.
The driver was advised that she could not drive the vehicle from the location without a valid license and would have to locate a licensed driver or another means of transportation.
