The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

December 8 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.

Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, a 58-year-old female suspect was observed “putting clothing items into her purse while shopping” and proceeded to the self-checkout where she scanned and paid for two items, but did not scan the items in the purse, then exited the store with the unpurchased merchandise.

The total value of the stolen merchandise was $49.90, the report said.

December 15 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.

Officer Steven Renbarger responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.

According to the report, 45-year-old male suspect was observed concealing several items and exiting the store without paying for the merchandise.

The suspect previously worked for Walmart as an asset protection employee and had allegedly stolen merchandise from other Walmart stores around the state, the report said.

The total reported value of the stolen merchandise was $7.97.
