Kingfisher PD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
February 17 - Malicious injury/destruction of property and burglary.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of property damage in the 800 block of South Third Street.
According to the report Schlegel and Officer Matthew Hollon made contact with two male individuals at the residence who identified a suspect regarding damage to a door, door jamb and television.
Schlegel said in his report that he photographed the damage, as well as alleged damage to a vehicle.
The reported damage to the television was $600 and $400 of damage to the door and door jamb.
February 18 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.
Officer Tyler Girten said in his report that he observed a vehicle with a non-functioning tag light traveling northbound on South 13th Street and attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
According to the report the vehicle failed to stop until reaching the 300 block of South 12th Street.
The 45-year-old male driver was driving with a revoked driver’s license, the report said.
Girten placed the suspect under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and the vehicle was inventoried and impounded, according to the report.
The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Sergeant Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.
February 18 - Theft.
Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of theft in the 400 block of South Eighth Street.
David Selby reportedly stated his mother, Verlena Selby, had a package stolen from her porch.
According to the report, USPS verified a package was delivered to Selby’s residence on Feb. 10.
The package contained assorted stationery and was valued at $60.12.
February 20 - Pattern of criminal offenses, conspiracy and grand larceny.
Officer Ryan Gibson took a report regarding theft of a tractor in the 400 block of North Second Street.
Ola Turner reportedly stated her late father’s tractor was taken by two unidentified male suspects.
Gibson made contact with a neighbor who stated one suspect indicated a known individual had given them permission to take the tractor, the report said.
Gibson said in his report that he made contact with the identified individual, who was incarcerated at the Kingfisher Criminal Justice Center, regarding any involvement in the incident.
Gibson and Sergeant Charles Trout returned to the location of the theft and observed an oil leak, which they were able to track to a residence on a county road, the report said.
According to the report, a tractor matching the description was observed at the location and officers made contact with individuals who were present regarding the theft.
Officers followed up on the provided information by reviewing jail video and making contact with a female individual observed in the footage, according to the report.
A 44-year-old male and 40-year-old male were charged with a pattern of criminal offenses, conspiracy and grand larceny.
The reported value of the tractor was $1,000.
