The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

March 23 - Possession of drug paraphernalia, bringing or possessing contraband in jail or penal institution and warrant.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a westbound vehicle on Starlite Drive with the driver not wearing a seatbelt and he initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 34-year-old male driver was driving without a driver’s license in his possession and a defective windshield.

Dispatch advised the officer the suspect had an outstanding warrant and Schlegel placed him under arrest for the warrant.

A citation was also issued to the driver for failure to wear seatbelt and a warning for the defective windshield, the report said.

An inventory was performed on the vehicle and it was impounded.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Upon search by the jail staff, a glass pipe was discovered on the suspect and he was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and bringing contraband into the jail, according to the report.
