Kingfisher PD reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
May 9 - Obtaining property or sign under false pretenses.
Officer Charles Trout took a report of possible identity theft in the 1000 block of West Kings Drive.
Monica Padilla reportedly stated she received items delivered to her residence that she did not purchase.
Trout said in his report that he contacted a customer service representative at the company indicated on the invoice and was informed the purchases were made and delivered to Padilla’s residence.
According to the report, Padilla spoke with the representative and was informed she was free to return the merchandise, but would have to speak to a supervisor to report the fraud.
A Con-Air hair dryer and detangling brush were reported as the items fraudulently purchased using Padilla’s identity, the report said.
May 12 - Expired license plates, driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, no insurance, defective equipment, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI-liquor or drugs.
Officer Aaron Schlegel observed a vehicle with expired tags and a defective windshield as well as the driver not wearing a seatbelt on U.S. 81 and he initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. According to the report,
According to the report, the 45-year-old male suspect was determined to be driving without a valid driver’s license and insurance.
Schlegel said in his report he detected the odor of alcohol and marijuana and the driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication.
A field sobriety test was performed and the suspect was arrested for suspicion of DUI and driving while license is revoked, according to the report.
Officers performed an inventory of the vehicle and discovered a container with a green leafy substance (which field tested positive for marijuana) and a “mostly smoked” marijuana joint, the report said.
The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and issued district citations for failure to pay taxes due to state, failure to comply with compulsory insurance law, failure to wear seatbelt, defective equipment, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicating substance.
