Kingfisher Police Department investigates incident reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

April 7 - Criminal trespass, larceny of merchandise from retailer and obstructing an officer.

Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of larceny at Walmart, 200 Starlite Drive.

A Walmart representative reportedly stated a known male and female had entered the self-checkout with merchandise and scanned two dresses, but at a lower price than the actual price by switching tags and exited the store.

Conner and Sergeant Charles Trout made contact with the 33-year-old female suspect at her residence and she returned one of the dresses to the officers and said she would find and return the other dress, the report said.

Conner said in his report that he informed the female suspect that she had been trespassed from Walmart.

The female also indicated the male individual was “out of town for the next six weeks”, but the 38-year-old male suspect was observed as a passenger in a traffic stop the following day, the report said.

According to the report, the male suspect had previously been trespassed from Walmart due to a prior incident.

April 7 - Enter structure with certain intent-break and enter.

Captain Travis Gray responded to a report of an individual attempting to break into a residence in the 900 block of South Main Street.

Officers Quinton Cline, Jeff Townsend, Sergeant Justin Trumbley and Chief David Catron also responded to the report.

Gray said in his report the glass in the back door of the residence had been shattered, but the contents of the home appeared to be undisturbed and no suspects were located.

According to the report, the residents were not at home, but their son entered the residence and indicated that nothing appeared to be missing.

April 12 - Domestic abuse committed in the presence of a child and domestic abuse assault and battery.

Sergeant Charles Trout responded to a report of a domestic altercation in the 1100 block of South Main Street.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley and Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.

April 12 - Domestic abuse assault and battery and public intoxication.

Sergeant Justin Trumbley responded to a report of an altercation in the area of South Ninth Street and West Toronto Avenue.

According to the report, an alleged domestic assault had also occurred in the incident.

A 20-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with public intoxication and domestic abuse assault and battery.

Sergeant Charles Trout and Deputy Johnathan Reidlinger assisted with the investigation.
