Kingfisher Police Department investigates multiple reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

September 5 - Littering highway.

Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of littering in the 100 block of East Miles Avenue.

According to the report, a witness stated a couch had been placed near trash cans belonging to businesses in the area and other items had been placed in the trash cans.

The witness stated that she had made contact with individuals residing in a nearby apartment regarding the placement of the couch and trash and she provided the officer with photographs of the furniture, the report said.

Trout said in his report that the following day he observed a couch on the side of U.S. 81 in city limits which was similar to the discarded couch on East Miles Avenue and confirmed it was the same couch.

Trout indicated he would make contact with the suspects regarding the incident, according to the report.

September 6 - Assault and battery.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of an altercation at McDonald’s, 1600 S. Main St.

Schlegel said in his report that he made contact with the reporting parties, a 60-year-old female, a 38-year-old female and a 19-year-old female.

According to the report, several individuals got into a verbal altercation which led to an alleged physical assault.

The 38-year-old victim stated she was in her vehicle, along with two passengers, at the traffic signal of U.S. 81 and Will Rogers Drive when she was assaulted through an open window, the report said.

According to the report, Sergeant Charles Trout and Schlegel also made contact with the suspects, a 19-year-old male, a female minor and a 29-year-old female at their residences.

Schlegel said in his report that after speaking to the parties involved, he informed the 29-year-old female that he would be filing a warrant for her arrest for assault and battery.

September 7 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked, distribution of controlled substance- including possession with intent, possession of controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited- marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report he observed a known individual driving with a revoked driver’s license in the area of U.S. 81 and Wyatt Avenue and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 55-year-old male was placed under arrest for driving with a revoked license and Schlegel inventoried the vehicle.

Schlegel said in his report that in the vehicle he discovered a baggie containing a white crystal substance (which tested positive for methamphetamine), a bag containing a green leafy substance (which tested positive for marijuana) and a syringe containing a clear liquid substance as well as other paraphernalia.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and additionally charged with possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and distribution of controlled substance-including possession with intent.

September 8 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.

Officer Tyler Girten said in his report that he observed a vehicle with non-functioning tag lights in the area of U.S. 81 and Robberts Avenue and initiated a traffic stop.

According to the report, the 36-year-old male driver was driving with a revoked license.

The suspect was placed under arrest for driving with a revoked license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

September 9 - DUI-liquor or drugs.

Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel said in his report that he made contact with a 47-year-old female asleep in a vehicle in the parking lot of Holiday Inn Express, 1700 S. Main St.

According to the report, the suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and an odor of alcohol was detected by the officer.

The suspect indicated to the officer that she had been drinking wine and presented a cup to the officer partially filled with wine, the report said.

McDaniel performed field sobriety tests on the suspect and placed the individual under arrest for actual physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants, according to the report.

The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Matthew Hollon assisted with the investigation.

September 13 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of property damage in the 600 block of West Chisholm Drive.

Karen Teske reportedly stated an individual was removing a tower near the Kingfisher Public Schools administration building and damaged two of her and her husband’s cargo trailers, which are stored on school property.

Schlegel made contact with the 62-year-old male suspect who stated that one trailer was damaged by a school employee using a loader with forks and the other trailer was damaged when the tower hit it, the report said.

Teske provided the officer with video surveillance footage of the suspect, text communication with the suspect and photographs of the damage, according to the report.

Schlegel also took photographs of the damage to each 7-feet by 16-feet enclosed double axle cargo trailers.
