Kingfisher Police Department investigates multiple reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

October 31 - Planning or threatening violent act.

Officer Kyle Svoboda responded to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of South 11th Street.

Sergeants Charles Trout and Justin Trumbley assisted with the investigation.

November 2 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft at Atwoods, 1213 S. Main St.

According to the report, a suspect attempted to exit the store with unpurchased merchandise and, when confronted by the manager, surrendered some, but not all of the items before fleeing.

Officers searched the area for the suspect’s vehicle, but were unsuccessful in locating it, the report said.

Officers also attempted to locate surveillance footage of the incident from surrounding businesses, according to the report.

Recovered items included a Dewalt brushless router ($219) and a CRKT fixed blade knife ($39.99).

November 7 - Domestic abuse assault and battery.

Sergeant Charles Trout responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of West Thompson Drive.

Officers Matthew Hollon and Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.

November 9 - Possession of dangerous drugs prohibited, possession of drug paraphernalia, false personation, carry firearms after conviction/ during probation (felony) and possession of contraband by inmate.

Officer Justin Conner said in his report that he made contact with the driver of a vehicle in the area of South 13th Street and Wyatt Avenue.

According to the report, the 26-year-old male driver was acting suspiciously and, after extended dialogue with the officer, admitted to possessing methamphetamine and firearms in the vehicle.

A 24-year-old male passenger falsely identified himself as another individual and also indicated to officers that he was “a convicted felon and can’t be around firearms,” the report said.

Officers searched the vehicle and located a pill bottle containing a plastic bag with crystal-like substance in it which field tested positive for methamphetamine, an open pack of syringes and three firearms, according to the report.

The driver was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia and the passenger was arrested for false personation and possession of a firearm after felony conviction.

Both suspects were transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

A small bag of crystalline substance (which tested positive for methamphetamine) was discovered on the passenger while being processed for incarceration at the jail and a charge of possession of contraband by an inmate was added, the report said.

Sergeant Charles Trout and Officers Aaron Schlegel, Christopher McDaniel and Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.

November 13 - DUI-liquor or drugs.

Officer Christopher McDaniel responded to a report of an intoxicated individual at Love’s Country Store, 203 S. Main St.

According to the report, McDaniel made contact with the 38-year-old female suspect while she was seated in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle in the store’s parking lot.

McDaniel said in his report the suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and field sobriety tests were performed.

The suspect was placed under arrest for DUI-liquor or drugs and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

A passenger and the vehicle was released into the custody of the suspect’s father, the report said.

The suspect surrendered a marijuana cigarette to jail staff before being processed for incarceration, according to the report.

Officer Kyle Svoboda assisted with the investigation.

November 13 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of vandalism in the 500 block of West Bowman Avenue.

Hannah Cossey reportedly stated she noticed a picture frame had fallen off the wall inside the residence and damage to the exterior siding in the same location, as well as a pan lying nearby.

Hollon said in his report that he took photographs at the scene and also attempted to contact a possible suspect, but was unsuccessful.

November 16 - Public intoxication and obstructing officer.

Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of an unwanted individual at Stop N Go,1005 S. Main St.

According to the report, the 61-year-old male suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and refused to the leave the store.

Officers attempted to get the suspect leave of his own volition, but had to escort him out of the store and requested other officers to assist with placing the suspect into the patrol car, the report said.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and obstructing an officer and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher for medical evaluation for incarceration.

According to the report, hospital personnel informed the officers the suspect was being transferred to an Oklahoma City hospital for further evaluation due to the possibility of a medical issue.

Sergeants Charles Trout and Justin Trumbley and Officers Justin Conner and Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.

November 17 - Burglary- second degree.

Officer Dustin Brodrick responded to a report of theft in the 200 block of East Oklahoma Avenue.

According to the report, Hailey Duffy stated her vehicle had been burglarized overnight and her purse, keys and credit/debit cards stolen.
