The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

Aug. 16 – Enter structure with certain intent-break and enter.

Officer Jeffrey Robbins responded to a report of an attempted break-in in the 800 block of Kens Road.

According to the report, two female residents stated they heard someone attempt to open the back door and then a car alarm sounded on one of their vehicles in the front driveway.

Robbins said in his report that he observed arm smudge prints on both the driver and passenger windows as well as cigarette ashes on the hood of one of the resident’s vehicles, which he photographed.

Robbins did not locate the suspect and or any surveillance cameras in the area, according to the report.

While patrolling the area later that night, Robbins made contact with an individual who stated a vehicle had made several passes by the residence on Kens Road “in a short period of time” and provided a description of the vehicle, according to the report.

Robbins said in his report that he located the suspect’s vehicle and made contact with the suspect, but the 23-year-old male was unwilling to talk to the officer.

Officer Christopher McDaniel assisted with the investigation.

Aug. 17 – Possession of controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Officer Tyler Girten said in his report that he was on patrol when he observed a male individual, who was suspected of having a suspended license, driving a 2007 Yukon northbound on Main Street.

According to the report, the vehicle stopped at a convenience store and, after it was in motion again and upon verifying the driver had a suspended license as well as an expired tag, Girten initiated a traffic stop in the area of Sixth Street and Locust Avenue .

Girten made contact with the female driver and observed the 37-year-old male suspect in the passenger seat, the report said.

Girten said in his report that he issued a citation to the female driver for failure to pay taxes to the state and a citation for driving with a suspended license to the male.

Officers received consent to search the vehicle and located a syringe containing a liquid which field tested positive for methamphetamine, according to the report.

The male suspect was placed under arrest for possession of controlled dangerous substance and possession of methamphetamine and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officers Aaron Schlegel and Ryan Gibson assisted with the investigation.

Aug. 18 – Warrant. Officer Tyler Girten was dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of North Fifth Street in reference to an unwanted individual at that location.

According to the report, the homeowner stated a 24-year-old male was intoxicated in his residence and he did not want him there.

Officer Justin Conner contacted dispatch regarding possible warrants on the individual and it was confirmed the suspect had an outstanding warrant, the report said.

Girten said in his report that he transported the suspect to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher where he received medical clearance for incarceration.

The suspect was then transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Aug. 20 – Malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Justin Conner responded to a report of property damage at First Assembly of God, 900 W. Will Rogers Drive.

Ron Bruner reportedly stated that employees of the construction company working at Kingfisher High School were backing onto the church’s lawn and causing damage.

According to the report, another incident had occurred previously and was being investigated by officers.

Captain Travis Gray said he would contact the principal of KHS regarding the incidents, the report said.

Aug. 24 – Assault and battery (two counts) and unlawfully enter private residence.

Officer Brandon Chapman responded to a report of an altercation in the 800 block of West Kens Road.

According to the report, two 31-year-old male suspects were involved in an altercation and officers made contact with the suspects and witnesses at the scene.

Sergeant Charles Trout assisted with the investigation.

Aug. 26 – Burglary-second degree (auto) and malicious injury/destruction of property.

Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of vandalism and theft in the 700 block of South Ninth Street.

Dillon Ellis reportedly stated that on Aug. 19, he discovered his truck tire had been slashed and the vehicle dome light was on, but he didn’t notice anything missing.

On Aug. 24, Ellis noticed his checkbook was missing from his vehicle and suspected it was stolen when his truck was vandalized, according to the report.

The reported value of damage to the vehicle tire was $300.

Aug. 28 – Sexual battery. Officer Justin Conner took a report of sexual battery in the 500 block of West Miles Avenue.

Sept. 4 – Speeding, DUI-liquor or drugs, driving with license/canceled/suspended/revoked, endangering others while eluding police officer and unsafe lane use.

Officer Jeffery Robbins said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to maintain its lane.

According to the report, Robbins initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to stop and continued at a high rate of speed on U.S. 81.

Robbins said in his report that he pursued the vehicle as it turned west on Airport Road, then north onto NS 2830 County Road and pulled into a private drive and came to a stop.

The suspect exited the vehicle and appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication, the report said.

Officers transported the suspect to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to be evaluated and he was medically cleared for incarceration after several hours, according to the report.

The suspect became combative while at the hospital and as officers were attempting to escort the suspect into the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, the report said.

The 55-year-old male suspect was charged with speeding, DUI, driving with license suspended, eluding a police officer and unsafe lane use.

Officers Chris McDaniel and Tyler Girten assisted with the investigation.

Sept. 7 – Theft of a motor vehicle. Officer Ryan Gibson responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of South 12th Place.

Phyllisha Patton reportedly stated that a known individual had taken her 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo without her permission.

Gibson said in his report that he attempted to locate the vehicle at another possible location, but was unsuccessful and requested information from Patton in order to enter the stolen vehicle into the National Crime Information Center.

According to the report, Patton informed the officer that the suspect had been arrested in El Reno shortly after her initial report.

Gibson contacted the El Reno Police Department and was informed the suspect had been arrested and was in possession of a 2001 Monte Carlo in which officers located Patton’s driver’s license, according to the report.

The vehicle was impounded in El Reno and Gibson informed Patton of its location, the report said.

Sept. 7 – Driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked, obstructed view through windshield and no insurance.

Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle with substantial damage to the windshield and had previously informed the driver it should be repaired.

According to the report, Schlegel initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle in the area of U.S. 81 and Seay Avenue.

Schlegel checked the 47-year-old male driver for warrants and a valid driver’s license and determined his driver’s license had been revoked, the report said.

The driver was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while driver’s license is revoked, defective windshield and failure to comply with compulsory insurance law.

The vehicle was inventoried and impounded, according to the report.

Sept. 7 – Malicious injury to property-over $1,000. Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report from Brent Townsend regarding damage to a 2013 Nissan Altima.

Townsend reportedly stated his vehicle had incurred damage on Sept. 6, during about a one-hour window either at Walmart or Pizza Hut, but the culprit had left the scene.

Officer Aaron Schlegel contacted Walmart and reviewed surveillance footage from the designated timeframe and observed a vehicle pull into a parking space adjacent to the Townsend vehicle, exit the vehicle, appear to examine the damage and leave the scene, according to the report.

Sept. 7 – Planning or threatening violent act. Officer Aaron Schlegel was dispatched to the 400 block of East Broadway in reference to an individual threatening violent acts.

Sept. 10 – Harboring a fugitive. Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a 32-year-old male suspect with warrants observed at a residence in the 600 block of South Third Street.

Schlegel said in his report that he made contact with a female resident who initially claimed the male suspect was not at the residence.

Officers were allowed to search the residence and located the suspect “hiding in a closet,” the report said.

The male suspect was taken into custody and the 26-year-old female was charged with harboring a fugitive, according to the report.

Sept. 15 – Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited and possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana.

Officer Jeffrey Robbins said in his report that he was on patrol in the area of U.S. 81 and S.H. 33 when he observed a vehicle which failed to dim its high beams.

Robbins initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle which held four occupants including the 43-year-old male driver.

According to the report, none of the occupants of the vehicle had a valid driver’s license and a 41-year-old female passenger had a warrant in Garfield County.

Robbins informed the driver that he was going to impound the vehicle and, as he prepared to complete an inventory, he observed a meth pipe in the vehicle, the report said.

Upon searching the vehicle, Robbins located and seized three medical marijuana containers containing a green leafy substance (which field tested positive for marijuana in one container), a marijuana grinder and another meth pipe, according to the report.

Another meth pipe (which field tested positive for methamphetamine) was seized from the female suspect who had an outstanding warrant, the report said.

Robbins said in his report that he questioned all the occupants to determine if any held a medical marijuana license and they did not.

A 41-year-old female passenger was held on an arrest warrant and also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A 48-year-old female was ticketed for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The 43-year-old male driver was ticketed for driving under suspension and possession of marijuana.

Officer Ryan Gibson assisted with the investigation.

Sept. 15 – Malicious injury/destruction of property. Officer Ryan Gibson responded to a report of an attempted burglary and property damage in the 600 block of South Third Street.

Gibson said in his report that he made contact with the owner of the residence as well as the tenant and observed damage to the front door, which he photographed.

According to the report, the owner also reported damage to a bathroom door and gave the officer the identity of a known individual he suspected was responsible for the damage.

Gibson contacted the suspect, who denied having any involvement in the attempted burglary or damage to the bathroom door, the report said.

Sept. 15 – Domestic assault and battery/abuse. Officer Charles Trout responded to a report of an assault in a moving vehicle in the area of U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.
