Kingfisher Police Department investigates recent reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
August 14 - Embezzlement.
Officer Kyle Svoboda took a report of theft in the 1500 block of South 11th Street.
According to the report, Trina Gray stated she hired a contractor to renovate a property on 770 Road and the work was paid for, but never completed.
Gray said she also provided payment to the contractor for appliances which were never delivered, according to the report.
Gray provided officers with copies of payments and text messages with the contractor regarding the incident, the report said.
Svoboda made contact with the 62-year-old male contractor and requested documentation from him regarding the incident, according to the report.
August 20 - Larceny/burglary of controlled dangerous substance.
Sergeant Aaron Schlegel took a report of theft at First Shamrock Care Center, 1415 S. Main St.
According to the report, the facility manager stated 60 hydrocodone-acetaminophen 5-325 mg. tablets were missing and an internal investigation was performed.
Drug tests were administered to staff, with all tests producing clear results and, after reviewing video surveillance, an employee was observed “taking handfuls of medications and sticking them in her bag on July 29,” the report said.
Officers made contact with the 32-year-old female suspect at the facility and she reportedly admitted to taking the medication which she later sold, according to the report.
Schlegel said in his report that he would be requesting a warrant for arrest for larceny of a controlled dangerous substance.
