Kingfisher Police Department investigates trailer, ID thefts
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
February 5 - Pointing firearms at another.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of a male suspect pointing a firearm and threatening an individual in the 200 block of East Miles Avenue.
According to the report, Hollon and Officer Aaron Schlegel made contact with the suspect at his residence in the 200 block of North First Street and seized a 9mm Ruger handgun.
Officer Justin Conner made contact with the reporting party at the scene of the incident, the report said.
February 7 - Identity theft.
Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of identity theft in the 800 block of South Third Street.
Christina Brown reportedly stated she had lost her wallet approximately eight months ago and someone recently attempted to open a bank account using her identity.
February 7 - Grand larceny.
Officer Dustin Brodrick took a report regarding attempted fraud in the 600 block of South Main Street.
Patricia Kochenower reportedly stated she was informed by bank representatives on Jan. 27 and Feb. 1 attempted charges of $31,000.78 were made to her account, but were declined.
According to the report, Brodrick made contact with an individual whose name was associated with the attempted charges.
Brodrick said in his report that after speaking with the individual, he suspected he wasn’t responsible for the fraudulent charges and advised him that his identity may have been compromised.
February 11 - Grand larceny.
Officer Justin Conner was dispatched to 1605 S. Main in reference to a stolen trailer.
According to the report, a 2007 Haulmark 10-foot enclosed trailer was stolen from the location.
Conner said in his report that he entered the trailer’s identifying information into the National Crime Information Center.
Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
February 12 - Malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Matthew Hollon said in his report that he was on patrol at Briscoe Sports Complex, 2000 S. 13th St. and observed the westbound speed limit sign in the complex had been broken off at the base.
Hollen photographed the sign and attempted to contact the street and parks department, the report said.
