Kingfisher Police Department investigating multiple reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
February 24 - Domestic abuse assault and battery.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of an altercation in the 800 block of West Kens Drive.
Officer Justin Conner assisted with the investigation.
February 25 - No insurance, driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited-marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI-liquor or drugs and transporting an open container-liquor.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a vehicle make an improper turn from West Fay Avenue onto northbound 13th Street as well as fail to maintain the proper lane.
According to the report, Schlegel initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the 37-year-old male driver who was determined to be driving with a revoked license and no insurance.
The driver appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication and a field sobriety test was performed, the report said.
The driver was then placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
Officers Justin Conner and Brandon Chapman performed an inventory of the vehicle, in which they discovered a “mostly empty” bottle of wine, a partially full can of Loko and three containers with pre-rolled marijuana blunts, according to the report.
Additional charges were then added to include transporting an open container of alcohol and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The vehicle was impounded and the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center, where an additional charge of aggravated DUI was included based on the suspect’s breathalyzer test.
Schlegel field tested some of the green leafy substance from one of the blunts which produced a positive result for marijua na, the report said.
All evidence was seized and photographed, according to the report.
February 26 - DUI - liquor or drugs.
Officer Jeffrey Robbins was dispatched to Love’s Country Store, 201 S. Main St., in reference to an individual passed out in a vehicle located in the parking lot.
Robbins said in his report that his attempts to rouse the 24-year-old male driver were initially unsuccessful, but eventually did wake the individual.
Kingfisher County Sheriff Deputy James McNew arrived to assist Robbins.
According to the report, the suspect appeared to exhibit signs of intoxication, but refused to perform a field sobriety test.
The suspect was placed under arrest for DUI-liquor or drugs and transported to Mercy Hospital Kingfisher to be evaluated for medical clearance for incarceration.
Upon receiving medical clearance and obtaining a blood test, the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
The vehicle was inventoried and impounded.
Officer Tyler Girten assisted with the investigation.
February 28 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked.
Officer Tyler Girten said in his report that he observed a vehicle make an improper turn onto northbound U.S. 81 and initiated a traffic stop near U.S. 81 and S.H. 33.
According to the report, the 31-year-old male driver was driving without a valid driver’s license and had active warrants in Arkansas and Ohio.
Girten placed the suspect under arrest for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license and issued a warning for the improper turn.
The suspect’s employer arrived and took possession of the vehicle, the report said.
Officer Christopher McDaniel assisted with the investigation.
March 1 - Fraudulent use of credit card number.
Officer Justin Trumbley took a report of credit card fraud at Holiday Inn, 1708 S. Main St.
The manager reportedly stated she discovered eight charges on the company credit card with no valid receipts.
She said two of the charges had a former employee’s email linked to them, according to the report.
The reported value of the fraudulent charges was $1,433.34.
March 3 - Driving with license canceled/ suspended/revoked and transporting intoxicating beverage or low-point beer.
Sergeant Charles Trout said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 with an inoperable headlight and initiated a traffic stop.
According to the report, the 25-year-old male driver was driving with a revoked license and an odor of alcohol was detected.
Trout performed a field sobriety test on the suspect, the report said.
The suspect was placed under arrest for driving with a revoked license and issued a warning for the defective headlight.
Trout said in his report that as he began an inventory of the vehicle he discovered an open bottle of beer. An additional charge of transporting an open container of alcohol was then included, the report said.
The vehicle was impounded and the suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officer Christopher McDaniel assisted with the investigation.
March 3 - Failure to wear seatbelt, possession of dangerous drugs prohibited and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officer Aaron Schlegel said in his report that he observed a northbound vehicle on U.S. 81 in which the driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to the report, Schlegel initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the 58-year-old male driver.
Schlegel observed a glass smoking pipe containing a white crystal-like substance in the vehicle and further search of the vehicle yielded another glass smoking pipe as well as a baggie (in a wallet) containing a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine, the report said.
Schlegel placed the suspect under arrest for the seatbelt violation, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The vehicle was inventoried and impounded.

March 3 - Malicious injury to property-over $1,000.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley was dispatched to the Girl Scouts cabin, 400 Park Road, in reference to a broken window.
Brooke Williams reportedly stated she discovered the west window had been broken and a T-post was lying nearby, but nothing appeared to be missing.
March 4 - Assault, assault and battery, planning or threatening violent act and malicious injury/destruction of property.
Officer Aaron Schlegel responded to a report of a disturbance at Boeckman Ford, 2200 U.S. 81.
According to the report, witnesses at the dealership stated that a 30-year-old male employee, who had recently been fired, had a verbal altercation with his manager and had shoved him during the incident.
Security footage of the incident was provided to officers, the report said.
A door and door jamb as well as a laptop computer were allegedly damaged by the suspect and the damage was photographed by officers, according to the report.
