Kingfisher Police Department investigating multiple reports

The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:

June 29 - Public intoxication.

Officer Christopher McDaniel responded to a report of an intoxicated individual at Casey’s General Store, 102 S. Main St.

According to the report, a 27-year-old male suspect was located and exhibited signs of intoxication.

The suspect was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.

Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.

July 2 - Speeding, failure to stop at stop sign, contributing to delinquency of minors, carrying firearms while under the influence, minor in possession of alcoholic beverage, transporting open container and public intoxication.

Officer Jeffery Robbins said in his report that he observed a vehicle fail to come to a stop at the stop sign on West Chisholm Drive and South 13th Street and then proceed northbound on 13th Street at a high rate of speed.

According to the report, Robbins initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the 22-year-old male driver and three passengers.

Robbins detected the odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle and performed a field sobriety test on the driver, the report said.

Officers searched the vehicle and located several open containers of beer which were empty, but “cold to the touch,” a .45 caliber pistol, a magazine and ammunition as well as an unopened case of beer, according to the report.

The driver was arrested for speeding, failure to stop at a stop sign, contributing to the delinquency of minors, carrying a firearm while under the influence and public intoxication. A 19-year-old male and

A 19-year-old male and 18-year-old male were issued citations for minors in possession of beer and released.

A 17-year-old female was also issued a citation for minor in possession of beer and released to her parent’s custody.

Officer Christopher McDaniel assisted with the investigation and took photographs at the scene.

The firearm was seized as evidence, according to the report.

July 4 - Stalking.

Officer Jeffrey Robbins responded to a report of stalking and harassment in the 800 block of South Third Street.

According to the report, officers made contact with the reporting parties as well as the suspects.

Lieutenant Dustin Brodrick assisted with the investigation.
