Kingfisher Police Department investigating reports
The Kingfisher Police Department has investigated or responded to the following reports:
Officer Kyle Svoboda was dispatched to Love’s Country Store, 201 S. Main St., in reference to a domestic altercation that occurred in the 200 block of East Miles Avenue.
Sergeant Charles Trout and Officer Aaron Schlegel assisted with the investigation.
September 3 - Larceny of merchandise from retailer.
Officer Christopher Mc-Daniel responded to a report of theft at Walmart, 200 W. Starlite Drive.
According to the report, a 23-year-old male suspect was observed on surveillance footage removing a security device from a speaker/amplifier combo.
The suspect then proceeded to the self-checkout where he scanned several items, including the speaker/ amplifier, then appeared to pay with a credit card and exited the store with the merchandise, according to the report.
Walmart staff later determined the suspect’s payment transaction was declined, the report said.
The total reported value of the items was $343.11.
On the following day, Sergeant Charles Trout arrested the suspect on unrelated charges following a traffic stop, according to the report.
The suspect was transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center and his vehicle was impounded.
September 4 - No driver’s license.
Sergeant Charles Trout said in his report that he observed a vehicle which fit the description of a suspect’s vehicle involved in a theft at Walmart.
According to the report, Trout noticed the vehicle’s tag lights were inoperable and made a traffic stop.
Dispatch advised the offi cer that the driver did not have a valid driver’s license, the report said.
Trout issued the suspect a warning for the inoperable tag light and a citation for driving without a valid driver’s license.
The suspect was placed under arrest for driving without a driver’s license and transported to the Kingfisher County Criminal Justice Center.
Officer Jarred Tech assisted with the investigation.
September 4 - Burglary- second degree, domestic abuse by stransuperintendent gulation and malicious injury to property-over $1,000.
Officer Matthew Hollon responded to a report of a domestic assault and destruction of property in the 800 block of South Third Street.
Sergeant Justin Trumbley and Officer Steven Renbarger assisted with the investigation.
